C: Lately, lots of people, both men and women, spend a lot of time and energy to enhance their looks.

N: Yeah, it seems to be the latest trend. More and more TV programs talk about beauty.

C: I’ve seen some of them. People try to apply fancy makeup, change their hair style or even have surgery to look younger than they are.

N: I would rather pay more attention to inner beauty.

C: You’re right. I am not a fashion-conscious person, either. I think it’s tiring to pursue the ever-changing standards of beauty.

N: And I think people can look beautiful and young even if there are wrinkles on their faces or they have sagging skin.

C: I agree. But to be honest, the fear of aging is still a concern for me.

N: Come on, everyone wants to be attractive. There’s nothing wrong with it. Just remember, don’t devote all your time to appearance only.

C: Thanks for reminding me.
