Plastic and cosmetic surgeries are becoming more and more popular in Taiwan. What are the common operations people go through in order to make themselves more beautiful? What are the useful terms when you talk to your orthopaedist?

(Claire is in Spring Clinic for the consultation of cosmetic surgery)

Dr. Chi: Hi, Claire, please tell me which part of your body you want to improve?

Claire: First, I want to have the freckles on my cheeks removed. And I’m not satisfied with my nose and eyes. My eyes are too small, and my nose is too flat.

Dr. Chi: Then you come to the right place. The procedures for those surgeries are quite simple. We have lunchtime cosmetology, which offers quick recovery so you can go back to work in the afternoon. Freckles can be removed with lazer in an instant, but for rhinoplasty and eyelid surgery, you need to schedule more days for recovery.

Claire: I see. Will there be any risk involved in these surgeries?

Dr. Chi: No. Even if there is, the percentage of risk is minimal. We will add a crease to the eyelids, making your eyes larger. The nose job will give a western look to your nose.

Claire: Sounds good. Is there any sample that I can take a look?

Dr. Chi: Sure. Here are some photos of our reconstruction work. Some of our clients look drastically different after rhinoplasty. A lot of them look much younger after receiving botox injections or face peels.

Claire: I see. Can I make an appointment for the surgeries now?
